Campus Master Plan

The University of Indianapolis is working with Schmidt Associates to develop a comprehensive Campus Master Plan. This plan will serve as a long-term framework to guide the physical development of the university’s campus and support strategic priorities over the next 10 to 15 years. 

PROJECT GOALS

01

Evaluate space utilization across all facilities with a focus on intentional space use, efficiency, culture development, and overall campus safety.

Assess the physical conditions of facilities to proactively plan for maintenance needs.

Forecast space and infrastructure needs based on enrollment trends and UIndy goals to create a vision for the university for the next 10 years.

Develop data-informed strategies and attainable initiatives for optimizing existing facilities and guiding future development.

05

Ensure alignment with sustainability, accessibility, and resiliency goals.

Explore campus improvements with a focus on enhancing the student experience and creating seamless interactions including dedicated community space for students and improved collaboration between faculty and students.

07

Engage community partners in an exploration of campus amenities and community growth opportunities that would support both the campus community and surrounding neighborhood.

08

Develop innovative experiential educational opportunities that help to attract, retain, and create a strong sense of belonging.

09

Enhance ‘placemaking’ supporting a vibrant campus community reinforcing UIndy pride, fun, and energy.
